Uniform Recycling Scheme

Our team at Inscope believe in giving back to the local community and supporting our schools in any way possible. During the Covid lockdown, we noticed how our children were outgrowing their school uniform without having worn it. This led to us thinking about the vast amount of perfectly good uniform that is likely going to waste as a result of the lockdowns, which gave us an idea…why not start a small charitable organisation to recycle this uniform?

This led to the creation of The Little Green Monster, a uniform recycling scheme named after our recognisable green bins that have been placed in local schools for families to donate spare or outgrown uniform for us to recycle.

We have already successfully collected, cleaned, re-packaged and re-issued over 200 items of clothing to our local schools and families so far. We have been extremely pleased to hear the feedback from everybody involved, with it being noted by many parents how this scheme is great for the environment and helps families to keep up with the costs of clothing for their growing children!

At The Little Green Monster we are looking to take this further and hopefully have an impact on the wider local area. We are currently hoping to secure funding and applying for available grants, which will help us to visit more schools and recycle more uniform.

Be sure to keep an eye out for The Little Green Monster in a school near you!
