The tender stage is where we invite our recommended building contractors to submit a cost for the work based upon our drawings and specification. We are on hand to answer any questions that these contractors may have when pricing the work and also recommend that we meet at the site to familiarise them with the proposed work.
For minor works, we generally expect to obtain three prices and larger works up to six prices, ensuring our client has a good spread of costs to choose from. The prices are then drawn up by the builder and submitted back to us to be opened at designated time and date. Only tender submissions received back to us in time are valid, which ensures that any financial regulations are satisfied, the process is fair and ensures that the best price is always achieved.
